V2 Max
The V2 Max is the latest of Pilates equipment available on the market.
It transcends traditional Pilates equipment offering restriction-free
movement and limitless exercise possibilities. This equipment system
combines the Professional Reformer with the Cadillac. When put together,
we have the original exercise potential of the individual equipment,
as well as a new way to exercise that incorporates the benefits of both
Pilates systems. This hybrid machinery allows the body to reap the benefits
of two different types of equipment. For this superior workout, the
V2 Max allows the body to emulate the multi-dimensional movement of
daily life. It's innovative vertical frame pulley system is another
new feature that delivers adjustable settings to accommodate different
heights, body weights and abilities.
Pilates Defined
Created in the 1920s by Joseph H. Pilates, the Method focuses on correct
body alignment through neuromuscular retraining. With a series of precise
movements, Pilates uses specially designed equipment to improve flexibility
and strength, while heightening awareness of muscle function and control.
Pilates is an effective form of exercise and rehabilitation that lengthens
muscle, refines posture and improves concentration. Pilates is good
for people of all ages and fitness levels.
Pilates balances
the muscles on the skeleton evenly. It uses stretching and strengthening
techniques either on the Mat or on the V2 Max, the latest piece of Stott
Pilates equipment, which Ignition Pilates is proud to own. The V2 Max
is a hybrid machine that combines in one exercise the benefits of the
classic Reformer and Cadillac machines.
Stott™ Pilates
Stott™ Pilates is a progression from the
Authentic/Classical Method of Pilates created by Joseph Pilates. It
distinguishes itself from the Authentic/Classical method by deviating
from the overuse of the flat spine position. The progressive work of
Stott™ Pilates emphasizes the natural neutral alignment of the
spine, where the natural curve of the lower back remains present, and
uses the “imprint” flattening of the lower back to the mat
ONLY when necessary, giving the body the ability to move as the body
was naturally designed. Stott™ teaches
the body how to stabilize from the center before mobilizing, selecting
neutral position or imprint position when ever appropriate for the individual.
When strong in their physical center, many attest to becoming stronger
in their emotional center and more focused in their lives. This is the
mind/body connection at work.
