What are the benefits of Pilates?
Benefits of Pilates include longer, leaner muscles; performance enhancement for novice to professional athletes; a stronger core/center; less joint compression; relief from back pain; easier pregnancies and quicker post-natal recovery periods for female clients; maintenance of post-physical rehabilitation; more physical mobility for those with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, obesity, and other health concerns; and an over-all sense of well-being.
What is Habitual Nervous System Redirection?
Habitual Nervous System Redirection (HNSR) is the redirecting of nerve impulses. By sending them down dormant pathways using pressure on nerve endings located in either the hands and feet, all muscles are awakened and can be worked simultaneously. Once all of the muscles are working together as a system, the body has more power, more strength, and the ability to achieve top performance in daily, and athletic movements.
What is Stott™ Pilates?
Stott™ Pilates differentiates itself from the other forms of Pilates in that it is an anatomically-based approach. It incorporates modern exercise science, rehabilitation principles, and eliminates movements unsuitable for specific postural imbalances. Many find it to be the most effective method available because of the modifications for each body type, thus allowing the client to build strength necessary to perform exercises correctly and safely.
