Private Sessions
In one-on-one sessions, we go beyond
Stott™ Pilates training and
use HNSR (Habitual Nervous System Redirection
to redirect nerve pathways to awaken dormant muscles. Dormant muscles
cause postural imbalances, poor motor function, weakness and often pain.
HNSR, when combined with the bio-mechanically sound method of Stott™
Pilates training, serves as the most effective way to work all muscles
as a strong, reliable, synergistic system for over-all strength and
health.
The focus is to balance and strengthen the muscular system. Ignition
Pilates accomplishes this by using the new V2 Max
equipment, along with toning balls, foam rollers, barrels, stability
balls, BOSU, flex bands, fitness circles and chairs, to move the body
in all planes.
Postural Analysis
In postural analysis, the body is studied from all four sides as well
as in movement. A reading of where the joints lie in relation to the
plumb line (the direct fall of gravity), will reveal which muscles are
strong and which muscles are weak. Muscle imbalances create faulty posture,
low muscular functioning and often pain.
Our goal is to re-balance the muscles on the bones evenly, to bring
the joints back to their neutral position in relation to the plumb line.
This ensures the least stress on the skeletal and muscular system.
Group Sessions
Pilates Mat Classes are the floor work version of the Pilates method.
These classes take place in a group setting using your body weight as
the primary source of resistance. Focus is placed on precise movements
originating from the center or core of your body. Working from the deepest
layers of muscles, which stabilize and support your spine and pelvis.
The result is a strong, flexible spine creating ideal posture and alignment.
Classes emphasize the basic principals of Pilates while offering modifications
and variations to suit each student's individual needs.
